Dr. N.P. Patil

I started my professional career in 1984 at Govt. Dental College & Hospital Aurangabad (M.S.). In October 1986 I joined the newly established K.L.E. Dental College Belagum, Karnataka University, as lecturer. In year 1988 I was approached by S.D.M.E. Society to join SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad in an attempt to set new standards & establish Department of Prosthodontics as Head of Department.

Meanwhile I was deputed to participate in various work shops on crown & bridge, metal ceramics, cast partial denture fabrication, implants & fabrication of suprastructures.

As a Professor since 1991, I have guided 144 graduate students for successful completion of M.D.S. Programme including dissertation & various research projects.

In year 1995 -96 I have been exposed to various Implant systems & I am the member of 1st batch of training faculty members for Diploma in Osseeointegrated prosthetic rehabilitation in collaboration with Professor I .P. Branemark institute of Biotechnology (Sweden).

I resigned from S.D.M. College of Dental Sciences & Hospital Dharwad on 10/12/2008.

I joined Rajasthan Dental College & Hospital, Jaipur on 15/12/2008 as Principal  & Head of Department. - Prosthodintics.

Attended work shop on Examination System in Dentistry at Bangalore University, 1984.

Member of Disciplinary Action Committee of S.D.M. College of Dental Sciences.

Started Dental Mechanical 2 yr course in S.D.M. College of dental sciences.

Professional Organization:

• Member of Indian dental association since 1980.

• Life member of Indian prosthodontic society since 1986.

• Executive managing committee member since 1994.

• Judge for selecting best scientific speaker & paper at 23rd Indian Prosthodontic society – Calcutta in November 1995.

• Chairman for scientific session   at 23rd conference of Indian Prosthodontic Society- Calcutta in November 1995.
